The ministry of Infrastructure has announced procedures and restrictions to ensure safety, effectiveness of ground handling and optimize airport capacity during the European Football Championship 2012. Procedure shall be effective between June 1^st 2012 and July 1^st 2012.

Due to increased traffic and restricted slots, it is advised to schedule your flight ahead of time.

Airspace restrictions and airport slot reservations apply during the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic games (July 14^th to September 12^th 2012)

Additionally; some U.K. handlers and airport authorities are charging a non-refundable deposit for requested operations between the 14^th June – 15^th August in an effort to secure confirmations so to avoid slots or parking going to waste
